Best of the Bay: 4 or 7 hours
Our showcase offering! Travel in air-conditioned comfort in one of our late-model vehicles with your own private guide while exploring the many delights that Hawke’s Bay has to offer. Immerse yourself in Art Deco heritage, visit world-class wineries sampling their specialty wines and take in the breathtaking scenery of rolling hills, river valleys, colourful fruit orchards, working farms, vineyards, stunning seascapes and then see it all in panorama atop the majestic Te Mata Peak. We can incorporate local art, museums, a wellness shop and garden, honey factory, gin distillery, artisan food producers, beach walks, mountain hikes, private picnics - the choices are endless! The Best of the Bay is tailored to suit our guests’ interests.
Food & Wine Lovers Delight: 4 or 7 hours
Curated to encompass the gastronomic delights on offer in Hawkes Bay. Visit world class wineries and treat yourself to a sumptuous lunch (available for full day tours only) at an award-winning restaurant. Sample gourmet delights from seasonal artisan producers of figs, strawberries, honey, coffee, gin or craft beers. Mix with the locals at a Farmers Market (Sunday only). Premium tastings and enhanced wine experiences available on request (additional costs may apply.) As with the Best of the Bay, you will be mesmerised by the stunning scenery as you journey around our beautiful region. This tour can be tailored to suit.
Maori Culture & Heritage
Discover New Zealand and Hawkes Bay’s unique Māori heritage. You will be guided through an urban mārae and wharenui by a local kaumatua. A unique opportunity to visit a working Mārae in the local community.
Take a walk through an ancient Māori pa and learn how the local Māori cultivated the land, nourished their whanau (family) and defended their settlement.
Discover how ancestors of the Māori navigated their waka (large double-hulled canoe) celestially through the Pacific Island’s to New Zealand. Also available as a one hour highlight option incorporated into the Best of the Bay or Food & Wine Lovers tours.
Hike the Bay: 4 or 7hrs
Allow us to guide you on a hike or walk that showcases the stunning landscapes, wildlife, flora and fauna of Hawke’s Bay.
Te Mata Peak: Choose from six hikes (1-3 hours long) featuring giant Redwoods, marine fossils, seismic scarring, sheep grazing farmland, native bush and breathtaking views.
Bell Rock: Experience New Zealand's Lion King moment on this full-day tour, picnic lunch included (7hrs option only). Note this hike includes an approximate 90 minute drive to a remote location.
Beach or Estuary Walks: Enjoy a walk among the dunes and beaches, estuaries and wetland and experience native birds in their natural habitat.
All hikes are weather dependent and can be adjusted to suit any fitness level. We can also tailor your experience to include a winery visit, a restaurant or picnic lunch for full day hikes (cost additional) or we can incorporate other Hawke’s Bay attractions.
